FARM DAYS

August 28-29, 2010

Farm Days Experience down-home farming demonstrations and exhibits dating back to the 1800s: dowsing, corn and ensilage cutting, barn loom weaving, rug braiding, Farm Days antique tractors, trucks, and gasoline engines, blacksmithing, hay rides, homemade ice cream making, and much more!

The Hinsdale Garrison Company will present an authentic colonial life demonstration. The American Revolution will come alive as re-enactors from the Second Parish Co. 1732 Minutemen of Burlington, MA, 6th and 10th Connecticut Militias, and the 6th Connecticut Regiment, Continental Line portray military practices and culture in encampments nearby.

Take your chances at cow flop bingo on Saturday at 4:00, and enjoy the Grande Parade at 3:00 both Saturday and Sunday.

Farm Days And don’t miss the famous roast beef supper on Saturday evening from 5-7 Farm Days p.m. in the Hardy-Pillsbury Barn. Tickets for the supper are $10 for adults and $5 for children, available by reservation (603-927-4047), or at the Farm Days information booth.

Lunch and snacks are available to buy on site, or pack a picnic to enjoy on the farm’s 250 acres of open fields, gardens, and historic buildings. General admission is $5, free for members.
